Over recent years minimal access has evolved very rapidly. Laparoscopic surgery has changed the face of General Surgery. The Goal of Laparoscopic Surgery is to perform standard conventional open surgical procedures via the minimal access route & perform them just as well if not better. Some Laparoscopic surgeries have become gold standards & have set a benchmark. It’s a great achievement owing to better instrumentation, imaging & better trained skilled surgeons. These technological advances will be of benefit if it can reach the masses.
